Get inspired

New York Fashion Week with its legendary events finished on Wednesday (12th ) but left us a lot to discuss. Designers as usual presented their collections, first rows were occupied with celebrities and after-parties were chic. We fell in love with some performances and want to share our feelings with you.

Ralph Lauren

This year Ralph Lauren celebrates its 50th anniversary. For this case the designer prepared a breathtaking show in Central Park’s Bethesda Terrace, gala dinner and a big digital installation, where the remarkable moments of the brand were broadcasted. In his anniversary collection Ralph Lauren brought together women`s , men`s , Double RL and Children`s Polo lines. Models of different ages, from young to the mature, walked on the catwalk in velvet or patchwork dresses, classy costumes and casual trendy bombers with jeans. Among other models, Kaia Gerber and Gigi Hadid appeared in a show.

Carolina Herrera

This summer-spring 2019 collection became a debut for Wes Gordon, new creative director of the house. Carolina herself attended a show to support a young designer. The brand was always known for elegant evening wear and Wes Gordon stays with the flow but turns the direction more to the young consumers: models on the catwalk demonstrated various bright dresses, mainly of yellow, white and dark green palette with flourish print. Some classy costumes with skirts and trousers were also noticed on the runway.

Calvin Klein

For SS19 Calvin Klein collection Raf Simons got his inspiration from the classic American films JAWS and Graduate: models on the catwalk appeared with a half wet hair wearing graduation gowns, oversize jackets and T-shirts with the inscription “JAWS” on them. The location, where a show took place, gave guests the feeling of being underwater.

Marc Jacobs

The designer presented his SS19 collection in the Park Avenue Armory on the last day of New York Fashion Week. Marc Jacobs` show started 90 minutes later than planned but it was worth it to wait: models looked like dolls when they hit the catwalk in a candy, pastel-coloured dresses made from delicate silk, tweed and other materials. The accessories also played a big role in SS19 collection as most of the looks were composed with lovely hats, small bags and elegant gloves. Even the hair of nearly all models was dyed to match their looks. All this details turned the Marc Jacobs` SS19 show into one big Candyland.
