Antonis Tsarouchas is a young greek fine art photographer, who was born in the city of Katerini and started to study photography in Thessaloniki. Unfortunately, he was unable to get his degree: to successfully graduate, a student must pay for the internship to the employer.
Antonis says himself, that he can’t remember the moment he started doing art. But art was always a kind of sanctuary for him, where he could hide from reality, from all the problems and the feeling of inferiority. After first conceptual photos and portraits he made, he decide to be a painter through photography. To tell a story through each photography became the most important thing for him. That’s why he has no purpose to sell his works.
For today, Antonis did 4 exibitions: two in Thessaloniki, Greece (IANOS, ArtCore), one in Millepiani, Rome currated by LoosenArt and one in Voodoo55, Berlin. His last project is called “Ηρεμία” or “Iremia” in English, what means “peace / peacefulness”. Among other things, it means the peace of the soul. “There are so many thing going on: dreams, life, that sometimes we forget to evaluate the circumstances,” says Antonis.
