OPEN CALL Spring–Summer Print Issue

PURPLEHAZE invites artists, photographers, and image-makers to respond to the theme:

„I CAN BUY MYSELF FLOWERS“

A sentence that travelled through global culture and arrived somewhere unexpected, shifting from lyric to declaration, from sentiment to stance.

Within it lives a quiet redefinition of power. A repositioning of value. To buy your own flowers is to claim authorship over beauty, desire, and care. It signals emotional self-sufficiency. Economic agency. Devotion turned inward.

This issue explores autonomy as both structure and identity. We are looking for work that is visually intentional and conceptually grounded, across fashion, photography, contemporary art, and mixed media.

The theme is a metaphor. Interpret it through body, fabric, architecture, gesture, light, atmosphere, or tension. There is no single answer.

Selected projects will be published in the Spring–Summer 2026 print edition of PURPLEHAZE.

Beyond themed submissions, we selectively consider outstanding fashion, art, and beauty photography, and carefully curated art projects that demonstrate exceptional visual and conceptual coherence.

Deadline: April 16, 2026 Results: April 17, 2026 Print Launch & Pop-Up Exhibition: June 2026, Amsterdam

PURPLEHAZE operates on a merit-based selection process. Submission is free. All projects are reviewed by the editorial team based on conceptual strength, visual coherence, and alignment with the issue theme.

A limited number of extended publication formats are available for selected works seeking expanded editorial presence,  including enhanced print placement and feature positioning. These options apply only to approved projects and have no bearing on the selection decision.
