„UNSCRIPTED“
The image does not always begin with intention. Sometimes it forms in the space where control loosens, where timing overtakes composition, and where the frame captures more than it can contain. Unscripted explores the conditions under which visual work becomes immediate, unstable, and unresolved. It considers the moment as something that cannot be fully directed, only recognized, when gesture, movement, and environment converge into something unrepeatable.
We invite photographers, painters, performance artists, installation artists, and image-makers of all kinds to respond to this theme. Whether your work lives on a wall, a body, a screen, or a page, we are interested in how it holds tension, presence, and unpredictability.
Staged or not, we are looking for work that carries the feeling of something uncontrolled. Where construction disappears into presence, and what remains looks like it could not have been planned, even if it was.
Selected projects will appear in the Autumn–Winter 2026 printed edition of PURPLEHAZE and in an offline group exhibition in Berlin, presented in collaboration with Haze Gallery. Details on the exhibition date and venue to be announced.
